What Isolume is

A small design studio in Orange County, California, building websites and software for small businesses across Southern California. Small enough that the person you talk to is the person who builds it, which is most of why the work turns out the way it does.

We design and build in real code — no templates, no page builders. That is the reason the sites load the way they do, and the reason we can build the thing your business actually needs rather than the nearest thing a template allows.

The businesses we like working with tend to be good at something and quietly frustrated that their website doesn't show it. That gap is the interesting part of the job.

How the work actually runs

It starts with a fifteen-minute call about what the business does and what the site has to achieve. You get a fixed quote and a finish date before anyone starts building, and a link you can open at any point to watch it come together. No slide decks, no change orders halfway through.

Most projects run two to three weeks. A single landing page is about a week. Software takes as long as it takes — and you get that number before you commit, rather than finding it out together.

We work remotely, so the whole thing runs over calls, email and links. It keeps the overhead off your quote, and in practice it means you hear back the same day rather than waiting for a meeting slot.

Why you can see the inside of everything

We would rather hand you the work than describe it. The nine projects on this site are products and sites we designed, built and still run ourselves, which is why we can open every one of them up and show you the inside.

And to show what we would build for a trade we had not built for yet, we invented eleven businesses and built each one a website. They are complete and working, and each one is labelled as fictional on every page — inventing the businesses is what let us publish the real prices, the real deadlines and the refusals a client would take a month to approve.

What you can count on

• You own it. The domain stays in your name, the code is yours, and if you ever leave, the site goes with you and nothing goes dark.
• One number, agreed before work starts. That is the number on the invoice.
• A straight answer on the call. If a website builder is the right fit for where your business is right now, we will say so.
• Nothing on this site is decoration. No testimonial, review or client logo appears here until there is a real one to put there — which is why you are reading about the work instead of looking at badges.

Trades, restaurants and counters, dental and medical practices, med spas, law firms, home builders, charter and aviation operators, retail brands. Businesses where a real person is deciding whether to call you, usually on a phone, usually in a hurry.

We work across Orange County — Irvine, Santa Ana, Anaheim, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Fullerton — and the wider Southern California area. Because everything runs remotely, where you are matters less than what you need.
