Case study/ SaaS/ Landing page
Nexrole
SaaS that puts paying Substack readers inside Discord, automatically.
Substack writers who run paid Discord communities manage access by hand. Nexrole automates it: a reader pays, a role appears; they cancel, it goes. We designed the product, the pricing, and a landing page that makes the whole pitch in one screen.

The idea
Substack has no native Discord integration. Writers who sell paid subscriptions and run a community fill the gap by hand: CSV exports, spreadsheets, weekly cleanups. Cancelled readers keep their roles. The work grows with the community. We built Nexrole to close that gap. When a reader pays, they get the role. When they cancel, they lose it. Nobody touches a spreadsheet.
The build
We designed and engineered the whole thing. The product: a Discord bot, Stripe connected over OAuth, webhooks that grant and revoke roles, grace periods, welcome DMs, nightly reconciliation, and a subscriber dashboard. The site: a landing page that pitches problem, three-step setup, and features in one pass, with a simulated dashboard so visitors see the product before they sign up. Flat-fee pricing with no transaction cut. A blog and niche pages for creators searching for exactly this.
What shipped
Nexrole is live at nexrole.io. A creator can start a free trial without a card, connect Stripe, install the bot, pick a role, and share a join link. From then on access runs itself: roles granted on payment, revoked on cancellation, with grace periods and a nightly sync catching anything missed. A dashboard shows subscribers and activity. Guides on the blog help writers set up paid communities.

Worth noticing
- A simulated live dashboard shows the product working before anyone signs up
- Canvas-drawn visuals render live in the browser
- Dedicated niche and comparison pages cover every way a creator might search
